website, Graphic Design, Brand Content

The first thing Valentina Dalla Corte did after we met and discussed the project, was to bring us some coffee. We entered several cafes and coffee shops of all kinds try as she explains the details and whys. Field work.

A few weeks later, in the development of the first sketches of the web of Dalla Corte Ibérica, Dalla Corte offers go to Milan on the occasion of a charrette: A 3-day event in which we will concentrate on the Spazio Candiani with people all parties related to the brand. There will work under the guidance of the industrial designer Elliott Littmann, and find ways to help the brand in the future.
They are very intense days in which the work is mixed with a lot of interesting people we met. We admire quietly disciplined work until the end of Paolo. We test the patience of the best baristas in the world, as Kim Ossenblok among others, to show how machines work.

And our body is becoming immune to caffeine, although tension means we can just rest in three days.

We are exhaust and euphoric when we come back. We are happy for what we have experienced. It has been a very agreeable and intense period of immersion. And very productive as well: after it we can start working on Dalla Corte Ibérica’s project with some fundamental background.

It has been a few months since Valentina asked us for a web design for Dalla Corte Ibérica. Having our experience in Milan in mind , we decide to present a website with a bold design, putting the emphasis on the image. Their machines are the best and we have to transmit this idea. The webpage is a very visual tool. It transmits their ideal of a flawless work ethic and social commitment, from a technologic point of view.

Live, learn, share

The publication of the web page is on the 20th of september of 2014, the very same day that Hostelco starts, the prestigious gastronomic fair of Barcelona. We have been asked to design the Stand of the Company in the fair.

Actually, from a conceptual point of view this job is not very different: the essence of the brand has to be presented on a stand within the fair. We take the factory to the place that we are given. For a few days, the machines will be entirely build there. In the wall we write our claim: “live, learn, share”. We write it with a brush to give it an organic and living flair. Also, a part of the stand becomes a café where coffee is offered to the assistants and workshops are organized.

It is a place with an industrial look, inspired by New York lofts. It conveys both: the technical drive of the brand and its social part. All together this makes the stand a warm and comfortable place.

Unexpected Coffee Night

The night of the inauguration of the fair, is also the celebration of the Unexpected Coffee Night. We work on the networking for the event and take charge of the graphics: the programs, the projections and the flag in the entrance. Each piece has to be coherent with what we want to communicate.

The night ends with the first Coff-Tail Masters: a cocktail competition in which all cocktails must have coffee. We give it its name, work on it and promote it, and summon all the bloggers specialized on gastronomy and most of the people who are somehow related to coffee in Barcelona.

We keep working with Dalla Corte Ibérica and our relationship is stronger every day.

True Coffee Experience

In february we go to the SCAE Campionships in Madrid, and we prepare graphic material, packs, trophys for the Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits champions, and we customize the Blackboard at the tourneys scenario. The Blackboard edition becames an attractive novelty, and the next spring months we develope a Custom Kit for baristas with templates to customize the machines with some draws.

Custom kits

To meet the demands of the new interest in personalizing the coffee spots, we created a line of Custom Kits.

The Custom Kit Blackboard has a series of templates with which one can personalize the coffee machines with Blackboard details in an easy and effective manner.

The Wood Custom Kit is a more comprehensive kit, which allows you to work on a wooden box to expose the machine parts, which can also be personalized with wooden details. Some of them include hand made graphics.

Milano shooting

Every now and then, we travel to Milan, to work with the brand in a global way. Autumn 2015, we documented Host and Partners Meeting, with pictures and a video. During three incredibly hot days in the summer 2016, we produced, in collaboration with Roger Casas, the shooting of still life style photos of the three different machines.

Off days

The creation of the Espacio Dalla Corte allowed us to organize events such as the Off Days: organized sessions with Coffee pros, so they could know Mina, and an afterwork to present The Coffee Journal, during the Hostelco 2016.

Our work to create and strength the brand brings us to visit coffee shops and create the  #dcaroundhere where we make chronicles about the experiences, and to taste delicious coffees in our coffee tastes with the Mini machine.

We are very happy with this project. Its success is beyond business, it is on the people we have met and on those intense days of working. Furthermore, we now know how we like our coffee and we can explain why.
